So, I know this pic is blurry, but it sums up my son and I. I forever love his silliness and how he pretends he is so grown. My favorite part of the day is when he gets sleepy and comes to hug me in his sleep induced stupor.
Tonight he got to pick the movie we rented, which was a reward for a great job helping out today. He went with me to my job today and not only occupied himself, but also helped me work. He is the bestest!
The sleepy hugs are getting few and far between as he grows and becomes more independent. I will take it anyay!!! and cherish each moment!

Tried to include this with my last post but I am still getting the hang of this;)

This Woman's Work

This is one of my favorite songs. Whenever I get down, it brings me up:)Today is not a down day, but a friend reminded me of it and I had to play it a couple of times. It is funny how music can bring you back to certain periods in your life, some good and some bad. This song makes me think of a certain person, things we did, mistakes we made, dreams we had, some realized and some that never saw the light of day.
There are things that happen in life, positive or negative, that help make you who you are in life. There are things that happen that create bridges to the next chapter in your life. There are also things that happen that can really keep you stuck. It's all a choice. Will what happens to you define you, keep you stuck, or be your bridge. Maybe it will be all three. Life is a journey:) Enjoy the ride!

My dog, Sokka, didn't want to pose with me. He wanted to play with me. This was the 10th photo we took. It will do. He is so funny!

Well, what can I say? I have a facebook, had a myspace, am webmaster at my job, have a Master's in Education/Classroom Technology....why not a blog? I don't know if blogging is more or less like an online journal or not, but that seems rather invasive. So, I am setting out to explore the blogging world and to see what is what. My friend has a blog and I tried to post a comment on hers but couldn't because I didn't have one. The rest is history.

Pictured is my son and our dog. These are the two loves of my life and what keep me busy and waking up each morning. I am a teacher, so I have off for the summer. We are enjoying this great planet and soaking up as much Vitamin D that is allowable by law. We have been relaxing, swimming, biking, running, fishing, to the lake, beach and back again. I am so excited for the reboot (summer), so to speak. I needed it! The end of my summer is near, as school is starting soon. With each sunrise, I sip my coffee out on the back porch, with the dog at my feet, and savor each second, knowing this will soon be over. Back to the J-O-B!

Happy blogging! I wonder if anyone will read this!?!
